Romantic stroll in a Provençal garden

Jul 10, 2024 | Walks, Wedding editorial

Nestled at the top of the hill, in the heart of the gentleness of Provence, where elegance and natural charm intertwine, is the perfect setting for our editorial shoot.

It is here, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves typical of the region, that the 5-star hotel of Crillon le Brave is hidden. A splendid private refuge, away from the urban frenzy, built in an architectural ensemble in pale stone where you can enjoy its gardens, its scents and its softness.

Inspired by the works of Van Gogh, the color palette with azure blue and botanical green, fits harmoniously with the natural and local tones of the region. All the details have been carefully selected to adopt an aesthetic based on natural beauty. A true messenger of delicacy and romance for a minimalist, soft and haute couture wedding.

The botanical details of the elegant stationery capture the essence of this real-life couple’s love story. Like a pair of butterflies strolling through a flower garden.

The couple

Civilly united in Manhattan, Benoit and Chloé take advantage of a weekend surrounded by their intimate circle in Provence, to celebrate their love, far from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. They choose the authenticity and art of living of the south of France to reconnect with their deep love.

The bride

The bride, wearing a stunning dress from Daalarna’s latest ‘Florence’ collection, is an image of timeless elegance and artistic allure. Inspired by the ethereal beauty of Renaissance art, this collection seamlessly blends minimalist chic with renaissance drama, creating a truly captivating ensemble. Our bride embodies grace and sophistication as she dons this exquisite gown, with its sweeping satin skirt adorned with a daring slit to accentuate her every movement. The dramatic ruffled collar adds a touch of regal charm, framing her feminine lines with effortless elegance. Perfect for the stylish bride who appreciates the fusion of modernity and artistry, this gown is a testament to the enduring allure of contemporary bridal fashion.

Drawing inspiration from the gentle hues of Provençal blue, the bride wears Celine heels from the latest Freya Rose collection. Crafted from soft satin and adorned with sparkling jewelry-like decorations, these heels exude elegance and charm.

The bride’s natural beauty is accentuated by delicate makeup, with gentle blush and rose lipstick enhancing her captivating blue eyes and ivory skin tone. For this contemporary style, the bride wears an effortless updo paired with loose curls, lending a natural and romantic aura to her appearance. The final look is elevated with delicacy and elegance through the addition of gold and pearl floral earrings inspired by fine art. Sprinkled with the floral mist of Guerlain perfumed water from a vintage collection she brings charming aurora to her appearance.

The groom

The groom exudes sophistication in a white suit with a light striped texture from Maison Geraci, a renowned French Riviera designer. Complemented by white trousers and a matching bow tie, his ensemble achieves a minimalist, fine art aesthetic.

The ceremony

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the chateau garden, overlooking the breathtaking view of the nearby church, the couple chooses to whispers their ‘I Dos’ in an intimate ceremony, symbolically exchanging their rings. Embracing the beauty of the local nature and the splendor of their surroundings, they opt for a minimalist approach, whispering their ‘I dos’ amidst the garden’s natural charm, with no additional decor needed.

The Dinner

The dining table is situated in a cozy cellar-style room, showcasing the essence of local architecture with its arched white chalk walls, quaint small windows, and a majestic fireplace as its centerpiece. A space decorated in a botanical garden style, intimate and lit by candlelight, promoting elegance and hospitality. A stunning blue toile de Jouy tablecloth harmonizes perfectly with the matching stationery, creating an elegant tableau. Delicate lace-like plates and vintage silver cutlery adorn the table, enhancing its beauty. The table is thoughtfully decorated with the bounty of Provence, featuring fragrant thyme, rosemary, and white tulips arranged in golden vases. Adding to the charm are arrangements of ranunculus, alongside delectable nuggets and sweets infused with the flavors of lavender.

The delicious fine dining menu is creatively composed of local and seasonal ingredients, all enhanced by local wines.

The evening

As the sun began to set over the village of Crillon-le-Brave, the bride makes a captivating transformation, like a flight of a butterfly, into a dazzling gown by Ziad Nakad. In powder tones and adorned with sparkly beads, this glamorous floaty dress exudes opulence and serves as a true masterpiece. The romantic puffy long sleeves add a poetic touch, while the belt accentuates her feminine figure with grace. It’s a harmonious symphony of design and craftsmanship, elevating her allure to new heights, as she swings gently on the dance floor to Etta Jame’s tunes.
